January 28, 2019

Here are your 3 tips that you can use in your classroom today for the week of January 28, 2019.

1 - Super Bowl LIII - It's a teachable thing
Wondering how to bring the super bowl into your classroom this week? The National Science Foundation has already done the work for you!

The National Science Foundation has a list of video resources, covering a wide range of topics relating to the NFL, including Geometry, Physics, the Pythagorean Theorem, Vectors, and more!

2 - Green Screen - do it with images easier
Remove.bg is free tool that will automatically remove the background from a selfie-style image! This allows the user to take a photo and place themselves at any landmark, giving the student the ability to create projects like a mock journal or photo album from a trip. In addition, you can have students write about their experiences through their research, creating postcards and letters as if they were actually there.

This is an incredibly useful tool that can get students excited about selfies in your classroom!

3 -  How to Stay on Top of the New Stuff from Google!
EDU in 90 is a video series from Google for Education, with new episodes three times each month. Each episode, we'll focus on an important topic for educators, administrators, and school leaders - things like product updates, new programs, and helpful resources for the classroom.
