I am an experienced Google for Education Certified Trainer and Google Certified Educator who has presented and lead workshops at numerous conferences around the South East. I’ve spent several years in the classroom as a science teacher, which eventually transitioned into a technology role, and I served 3 schools in Anderson School District 5 as their Digital Integration Specialist. I now am the Technology Integration Coordinator for all of Anderson School District 3. I am passionate about how to fully harness the power of Google Apps and other web resources in schools. My mission is to focus on harnessing whatever Technology is in the Classroom and take it from a novelty to a useful and efficient tool. Technology PD should be about how to make things easier on the teacher and not an information overload creating more questions than answers. Technology is everywhere and students are immersed in it – why not use that to our advantage in the classroom? As districts adopt 1:1 initiatives, proper training and support is essential for the success of these initiative.
