Here are your 3 tips that you can use in your classroom today for the week of September 24, 2018.
1 - Activity Dashboard
Google Docs allows you to see the Revision History so you can see who edited and when they edited a document (or Sheet or Slides). Now you can also see who has looked at or read a document as well! This is a great feature for documents you share as read only such as your Class Syllabus or an article you want students to read and then create a new document or discussion about. Give it a try!
2 - 5 Ideas to Organize Google Classroom
Add a Today Topic
Organize by Unit
Organize by Type
Organize by Subject (Great for Elementary)
3 - Create Conversations with Fake "Social Media"
I used this template to have my students create a Facebook profile for an element and then they had to fill their "wall" with conversation with other elements that they would chemically bond with. I'm sure you can find a great use for this template for your class and your subject! The sky is the limit!! This is the type of project that you can give them some freedom to get creative and show you what they know in their own way - so don't be too detailed on the rules/directions for the project. Let your students surprise you with their projects!

Equatio is a Chrome web extension that makes it easier to create and insert mathematical symbols and expressions, as well as scientific formulas when using Google Docs and Google Forms. Because it is a Chrome web extension, you need to be using the Chrome browser on a PC, Mac, or Chromebook to use Equatio. See what Eric Curts has to say about it - it's a great tutorial!
